The first part of this mural process was to prime the wall, and paint the linework in order for the students to be able to come in and fill the mural with colour. it was important to the Sarah School that we create a project that would incorporate the children and also beautify the space. Cultivating community is a key tenant at the school. With that in mind, I created this fun illustration and moved forward with the outlines.
For three weeks we had different classes come in, ranging from ages 8-12, and paint their little creature of choice in either green, pink, blue or yellow!
When step 2 is complete I will go back in and fine tune the kids' painting and clean up the mural to its final state!
